WEAR IT ONE EVENING
PIERCINGS WITH A TIME LIMIT
A play piercing is a temporary procedure and usually only remains in place for a few minutes to a few hours.
THERE ARE TWO VARIANTS
In contrast to regular piercings, where jewelry is inserted after the piercing, in play piercing the needle itself is left in the puncture channel. The needles are pierced through the skin. Multiple individual needles either form a pattern or serve as attachment points, for example for cords. After a period ranging from minutes to hours, they are removed again. Depending on the location and needle diameter, minor bleeding (a few drops) may occur.
Piercing rings or bars are inserted into the skin and left in place for a photoshoot or as a highlight for an evening, after which they are removed again.
The motivations for this are varied: from personal boundary or pain experience, a needle/blood fetish, to aesthetic reasons, such as for a photoshoot. No scars are formed due to the short duration of wear.
