FAQ
Who is the SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen test suitable for?

The test is generally suitable for you if you would like to quickly determine whether you are infected with SARS-CoV-2. This can be particularly useful if you have a piercing appointment with us where you need to remove your mouth and nose protection. This applies to all nose, septum, tongue, and lip piercing types.

If you are showing acute symptoms of a COVID-19 infection, you are not permitted to take the rapid test with us, in order to protect our staff and other test participants.

If you have acute symptoms, please contact the public health office responsible for your district, your general practitioner, or the medical on-call service of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

How does it work and how safe is it?

As with a PCR swab, the rapid test we perform also involves taking a nasal or throat swab. A major advantage of the antigen test is the fast result. You will receive your test result after just 15 minutes. A written certificate confirming a negative result will be provided.

The rapid test we use has a sensitivity of 96.2% and a specificity of 99.9%. It therefore meets the legal requirements and can detect or rule out SARS-CoV-2 with a very high degree of accuracy.

Why do I need a SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test?

According to the German Federal Government regulation, all customers who wish to use a service where the required mouth and nose covering must be removed are required to present a same-day rapid test.

This test must not be older than 12 hours and must be carried out by trained personnel. Self-tests are therefore not permitted.

Is the rapid test officially recognized by the public health authorities?

The rapid test we use is approved by the relevant government authorities and listed by the BfArM.

After the rapid test, the customer will receive a written certificate confirming their negative test result from us.

What happens if my result is positive or invalid?

If your test result is positive, you are required to immediately go into home quarantine.

Since this is a disease that must be reported under the Infection Protection Act, you are obligated to inform the public health authority without delay and to take a PCR test for confirmation.

In very rare cases, the rapid test may not produce a valid result. In such cases, you will be retested by us immediately and free of charge.

Are we authorized to carry out these tests?

We exclusively use antigen tests from European manufacturers that are approved by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices.
